TEHRAN –The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance has issued a message to the culture ministers of Muslim countries regarding the war imposed by the U.S. and the Zionist regime on Iran.

According to ISNA, the text of Seyyed Abbas Salehi's message, issued on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, is as follows:

“I congratulate you and the Muslim nations of the world on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, the celebration of servitude and the unity of the Islamic Ummah”.

“We celebrate these blessed days while the Iranian nation, during the holy month of Ramadan, has endured difficult yet proud days under the unjust pressure and attacks of the Zionist regime and the U.S., and this savage aggression continues. In this brutal war, innocent women, men, and children (including students from Minab school) are martyred in this land, and residential areas and our country's cultural and historical heritage are destroyed. However, the Iranian people remain standing and insist on their faith, dignity, and independence”.

“In such a situation, the historical and moral responsibility of all thinkers, artists, and cultural elites of the Islamic world is heavier than ever. This is because the fundamental teachings of the Prophet of Islam state that silence in the face of oppression is aiding the oppressor. Today is the time for the awakened consciences in the field of culture and art of the Islamic world to make the cry of Iran's innocence and the resistance of other rights-seeking nations heard by the world”.

“We hope for the cultural unity of the Islamic Ummah and the spread of the message of peace, justice, and human dignity throughout the world”.

On February 28, the U.S. and Israel initiated a major, unjustified assault on Iran, resulting in the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and numerous senior officials, along with many civilians, among them women and children.

On the first day of the attacks, the Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, became the site of a devastating massacre. While dozens of girls and boys aged between 7 and 12 were beginning their lessons, the school was targeted by a missile strike that caused the building to collapse, trapping children and teachers beneath the rubble. Iranian authorities confirmed a final death toll of 185 people, with about 100 others wounded.

The attacks prompted a swift response from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), with missile and drone launches targeting Israel and several U.S. bases in the region, occurring less than two hours after the strikes, which have been intensified in recent days.
